Thomas's 21 Not Enough Against Raiders

The Fulton-Montgomery Community College Raiders traveled to Columbia-Greene on Presidents Day to battle it out with the Twins. The Twins are currently sitting in the last playoff spot coming off a loss to #2 ranked Herkimer College. The Raiders came into this in third place. The Twins had a chance to disturb their ranking in Region III with a win.

The game started out with the Raiders taking the early lead. The Twins fought back and stayed in range of the Raiders. The Twins were down at halftime, 47-38.  The Twins had 11 turnovers in the first half that contributed to the deficit. The leading scorer for the Twins in the first half was Cameron Thomas with 10 points. 

The Twins came out battling for points in the second half. Their shooting percentage went up to 55% in the second half as they started a comeback. A big three pointer brought them back to within two points of the raiders with less than a minute on the clock. The Twins last second attempts to get the lead failed however as they fall to the Raiders, 90-86. 

The leading scorer for the Twins was Freshman Cameron Thomas with 21 points shooting 64% from the field. Sophomore Jihadu Brunner-Brown scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. Sophomore Daniel Folds came off the bench to score 11 points and three steals. Freshman Anthony Diaz also came off the bench to score 10 points and grabbed a season high eight rebounds.

The Twins will take on SUNY Adirondack in their last home game of the season.  Their will be a pre-game ceremony honoring the sophomores that will be leaving the team after this season. Make sure you get here early as the ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm.  Tip-off for the game will begin at 5 pm.
