Brunner-Brown Drops 23 in Twins Victory

The Twins played their first home game of the semester yesterday when they took on the Clinton Community College Cougars. The Cougars came into this game with a 5-12 record this season. Their last game was a win over North Country Community College. The Twins entered this game with an 8-8 record on the season. Their last game being over a week ago, a victory over SUNY Adirondack.

The Twins looked to build off their last win over Adirondack when they took on the Cougars Thursday night. They started off with a high percentage of missed shots. They struggled to score as they shot just 40% in the first half. Their defense would keep them in it as they finished the half down by just three, 30-27. 

The Twins started to pull ahead in the second half as the baskets were falling for them. A big 46-point half for the Twins put them on track for victory. The Twins finish with a 10-point lead to win the game by a final score of 73-63. 

Sophomore Jihadu Brunner-Brown was the leading scorer for the Twins with 23 points. The sophomore also picked up seven assists and six rebounds in the victory. Freshman Cameron Thomas finished just shy of a double-double with 10 points scored and eight rebounds recorded. Freshman Daniel Folds made six of his seven shots to finish with 13 points and two assists.

The Twins will be back in action on Saturday February 2nd at home. They will be taking on North Country Community College at 3 pm Saturday February 2nd.
