Twin's Alumni Named Empire 8 Player of the Week
Twins men's basketball alumni, Chris Kidd, was named Empire 8's Player of the Week for his performances last week. Kidd currently is a senior at Sage College and plays forward for the men's basketball team. Last season Kidd played his first season of D-III basketball with Sage. This season, Kidd has broken out as a team leader. Last Friday when Sage took on Utica College, Kidd had his highest scoring game with Sage scoring 30 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in their overtime win. The next day, Kidd once again led his team in scoring. He dropped 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as Sage fell to Elmira College. His performances gained him Player of the Week honors for the Empire 8 Athletic Conference.
We were use to seeing similar performances from Kidd when he was a Twin. He averaged a double-double with 19.8 points per game and 12.8 rebounds per game. During his time at Columbia-Greene, Kidd was named NJCAA Region III Athlete of the week twice.
Chris has had lots of success this season with Sage. He is averaging 13.2 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. These past two games have seen him breakout as a leader of this Sage basketball team. We wish him all the luck as he looks to finish out the season with Sage College.
