Four Twins Reach Double Digits in Loss

The Twins men's basketball team traveled to SUNY Sullivan yesterday to take on the Generals. They come into this game with a 5-1 record to start the season. Their only loss coming against Cayuga Community College. The Generals came into it with a 4-3 record. Their last game was a win over Dutchess Community College.

The Twins put themselves in the hole after the first 10 minutes of play. Their shooting struggled as they shot just 40% in the first half. The Twins were in a deep hole going into halftime, 58 – 38. Freshman Isaac McIntosh was the leading scorer for the Twins in the first half with 8 points.

It was much of the same in the second half for the Twins. Their shooting struggles continued as they shot just 33%.  Most of their shots in the second half came from three-point land.  They made just five of the nineteen three-pointers taken in the second half. The Twins finish a tough one on the road, 110-72. 

Four Twins players scored in the double digits. Leading the way once again was sophomore Michael Alert with 15 points. Alert also picked up eight assists and seven rebounds. Freshman Kevin Diaz made all his free throws and ended with 12 points and three assists. Freshman Isaac McIntosh shot 67% and scored 11 points. Sophomore Bright Afful finished with 10 points and two assists.

The Twins will look to bounce back when they travel to the Albany College of Pharmacy to take on the Panthers. This game will take place Thursday November 29th at Albany College of Pharmacy. Tipoff is set for 6 pm.
