Twins Win Three Straight

The Twins men's basketball team won its third straight game Sunday.  They took on the Schenectady County Community College Royals in Mountain Valley Conference action. The Twins won their first two games of the season and looked to make it three in-a-row against the Royals. Schenectady came into this game with a 1-1 record so far this season.

Both teams came out struggling to make many baskets in the first half of the game.  However, the Twins started to get it going through Sophomore Jihadu Brunner-Brown. Brunner-Brown scored 14 points in the first half to keep the Twins in the game. The Twins trailed going into halftime, 32- 30.  The shots started to fall for the Twins in the second half.  The Twins made 16 shots in the second half compared to just 10 made shots in the first half. This propelled the Twins to victory over the Royals, 77 – 70.

Sophomore Jihadu Brunner-Brown was the leading scorer for the Twins. Brunner-Brown dropped 24 points in the victory.  Sophomore Michael Alert scored 10 points in the Twins win. Freshman Kevin Diaz sunk three three-pointers for nine points in the game. Freshman Robert Taylor also added eight points, all in the second half, in the Twins win.

The Twins will be back in action when they travel to take on SUNY Broome. The game will take place at SUNY Broome on November 13th.  Game starts at 5 pm.
