Twins Drop Game to Generals

The Twins basketball teams traveled to Herkimer County to take on the Herkimer College Generals in a Mountain Valley Conference matchup Saturday.  This is the second and final matchup between these two teams in the regular season.

The first time these two teams met, the Twins were defeated, 95 – 69.  They looked to get it back when they took on the Generals Saturday.  The Twins struggled with their shooting early in the game.  The Generals held them to only 29 points in the first half, to give the Generals a 47 – 29 lead.  The Twins scoring was much better in the second half, but the Generals would run up the score to take the win 112 – 76.  Leading scorer for the Twins was Rayquan Bryant with 28 points and 10 rebounds.  This is Bryant's third double-double in a row and sixth of the season.  Freshman Donavan Williams scored 20 points and had five assists.  Freshman Jacorey Nixon had 18 points with four assists.

The Twins will be tested once again when they take on the Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks.  The Hawks are currently atop the standings for Region III as well as being ranked #3 in all of Division III.  They will take on the Hawks February 20th at home.  The women's game starts at 5 pm and the men's game follows at 7 pm.
