Twins Dominate For Two Wins

This weekend the Twins men's basketball team traveled to take on Schenectady County Community College (1/28) and North Country Community College (1/29).  Saturday the Twins made the drive to Schenectady to take on the Schenectady County Community College Royals. Having lost by only two points to the Royals earlier this season, the Twins were looking to get redemption.  The Twins would score 48 points in the second half to solidify the win with a score of 88 – 71.  Three Twins got a double – double in the win.  Leading the Twins to victory was Christopher Kidd with 19 points, 14 rebounds and six assists.  Sophomore Tydrea Rodriguez scored 17 points along with 10 assists, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Travis Hamilton scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  Matthew Smith got 13 points and Kolby Phillips scored 12 points. 

 

Early Sunday morning the Twins traveled to North Country Community College to take on the Saints.  The Twins got off to a good start and went up 39 – 31 in the first half.  Scoring 44 points in the second half, the Twins were able to hold on and get the victory 83 – 79.  Sophomore Tydrea Rodriguez shot 11 – 14 from the field scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds and nine assists.  Christopher Kidd got his eighth double – double in a row scoring 25 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.  Freshman Jordan Wright got 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.  Josiah McCall contributed eight points and five rebounds.  The Twins will look to make it three wins in a row at home February 4th at 3pm as they take on North Country Community College for the second time this season.
