Twins Drop Two at Fulton-Montgomery

The Twins traveled to Fulton-Montgomery Community College Tuesday to take on the Raiders.  The Twins come into the game looking for their first win of the season. 

Freshman Paul Pissarri would be the starting pitcher for the Twins in game one.  He gave up one run in the first to give the Raiders the lead, 1 – 0.  The Twins struggled to get any offense as they recorded just three hits through the seven-inning game. The Raiders scored three more runs in the third inning.  The Twins end up falling in game one to Fulton-Montgomery, 6 – 0.  Pissarri pitched six innings for the Twins.  He allowed just five earned runs on eight hits and struck out three batters.  Sophomores Hunter Goodacre and Lucas Foster both recorded a hit in the loss.

Freshman Dominick Tarsia would be on the mound in game two for the Twins.  After getting through the first inning clean, the flood gates opened for the Raiders.  They scored three runs in the second inning and then two more in the third inning.  The Twins would score one run in the top of the seventh inning but ultimately fell to Fulton-Montgomery, 10 – 1.  Tarsia went four innings for the Twins and allowed four earned runs on six hits and he walked six.  Freshman Kevin Schrowang came to pitch in relief.  He went two innings allowing no earned runs and four hits.  Sophomore Hunter Goodacre batted in the Twins only run of the game and went one for three at the plate.  The Twins recorded six hits in this one. 

The Twins will be back in action again when they take on Schenectady Community College Saturday April 28th.  The first game of the double-header will begin at 2 pm.
