Twin’s Baseball Alumni Finding Success

The Twins baseball team lost three key players at the end of last season.  They lost Collin Lynk, Joseph Dwy, and Noah Ernst to graduation. Those three players are now making an impact at the NCAA Division III level.

Lynk and Dwy both took their talents to SUNY Canton where they have both found success in the beginning of their seasons.  The Register-Star article highlights their achievements in their first six games of the season.  Dwy was Columbia-Greene Community College's Athlete of the Year in his only year as a Twin.  He has registered a hit in each of SUNY Canton's first six games.  In their game against Gallaudet University, Dwy went 2 for 4 at the plate with two RBI's on a double and his first collegiate home run.  So far this season, Dwy is batting .381 with four RBI's.  Lynk has found success at SUNY Canton as well.  He finished his second season with the Twins last year.  He had the second highest batting average on the team at .268.  Lynk has batted .200 so far for SUNY Canton.  His best game also came against Gallaudet University when he went 2 for 3 with two RBI's.

Noah Ernst transferred to play with the powerhouse SUNY Cortland baseball team.  Ernst was the Twins power hitter during his two seasons at Columbia-Greene Community College.  He finished his sophomore season leading the Twins in RBI's at 17 on the season.  He now plays for SUNY Cortland who is currently ranked #10 in NCAA Division III.  Early in his season at SUNY Cortland, Ernst was named the SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week.  This comes after Ernst came out of the bullpen to pitch in a tied game against Salisbury University.  He pitched five and a third innings in relief and allowed zero runs.  Ernst has appeared in relief four games so far and has pitched 11 total innings.

We wish the best of luck to our Twin's Alumni with the rest of their seasons.  You can find the links to the Register-Star article and SUNY Cortland's story below.
