The Twins took on the Herkimer College Generals in some baseball action yesterday.  Freshman Phillip Proper started the game for the Twins.  He ran into trouble early with the Generals scoring three runs in the first inning.  After going up 5 – 0, the Generals broke out with an 11 run fourth inning to run away with the game.  The Twins got some offense going in the bottom of the fourth with a grand slam home run by Lucas Foster.  This would not be enough as the Twins fall to Herkimer 17 – 5.  Foster went 1 – 2 with a grand slam home run that gave him 4 RBI's.  Joseph Visconti went 2 – 3 at the plate.

The second game showcased sophomore Noah Ernst as the starting pitcher for the Twins.  A walked batter led to a run scored in the top of the first to put the Twins down 1 – 0. The Generals would score another two runs in the second inning to increase their lead to 3 – 0.  The Twins struggled to get hits till a double by Joseph Visconti broke up the no hitter.  They finally got on the board in the seventh inning on a Noah Ernst two run home run.  The Twins would fall to Herkimer by a final score of 5 – 2.  Ernst pitched 5 1/3 innings allowing five runs and two hits.  Ernst also had a good game at the plate going 1 – 3 with a home run and two RBI's.  Visconti went 1 – 3 with a double.

The Twins will be home again Tuesday April 25th when they take on Jefferson Community College in a double header at 2 pm and 4 pm.
