Twins' Mercury Mason Receives Prestigious Award

Twins baseball player Mercury Mason recently received the Phi Theta Kappa award.  Every year New York State recognizes outstanding students from community colleges all around the state.  This year Columbia-Greene Community College had two students recognized at the event in Albany.  One of those students was baseball player Mercury Mason.  Mason was recognized for his accomplishments in the classroom and around campus.  In the classroom, he has accomplished an overall grade point average of 3.71.  A celebration of his on-campus involvement includes Mason's current roles as Student Trustee,  Student Senator, and Vice President of the psychology club - in addition to being a peer tutor and baseball player.  Mason's career goal is to become a psychiatrist.
