Three Twins Land on Academic All-Region List

Three Twins Land on Academic All-Region List

Three Twins athletes were just recently named to the Academic All-Region list for the 2018-19 school year. Nicholas Funk and Riley Werner from the Twins Track & Field team along with Hailey Beaumont from the Twins Softball team made the list.

To achieve Academic All-Region status, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and earn at least 24 credits during the academic year.  These student-athletes put in a tremendous amount of work to stay on top of their game and academics, exemplifying the very definition of "student-athlete." Each of these athletes has been a bright spot for the Twins athletics program.

Freshman Hailey Beaumont had the highest GPA of the Columbia-Greene group with a perfect 4.00. This is over two semesters with a total 28 credit hours.

Sophomore Riley Werner had the second highest finishing just below perfect with a 3.94 GPA. Werner took 33 credits over the past two semesters. This is her second consecutive year receiving this honor.

Making the list as well is fellow track athlete Sophomore Nicholas Funk. He accomplished a 3.79 GPA over the past two semesters with 28 total credit hours. This is his second year in a row receiving this honor.
