Edge's Jersey Goes to Women's Basketball Hall of Fame

As Tanisha Edge walked across the stage to receive her Athlete of the Year award at the Student Recognition Ceremony, little did she know there was another honor to be bestowed upon her unbelievable basketball season.

Director of Athletics, Richanna Lindo, surprised Edge and the audience and announced that the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame (Knoxville, Tennessee) recently contacted Columbia-Greene and requested Edge's jersey to be featured in their Ring of Honor exhibit.  The exhibit is one of the most popular at the WBHOF, and recognizes young basketball players for their achievements.  Edge's jersey will hang alongside others, including high school and college players, for the next 12 months to honor her stellar 2017-2018 season.

Edge's sophomore year is one for the record books; she was named NJCAA Region III Player of the Year, Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year, NJCAA All-American 2nd Team and other numerous achievements.  She also became the first woman in C-GCC history to score 1,000 points in a Twins uniform.
